Patches was in a shelter after her owner went into a nursing home. Her vet was contacted and was so surprised she was there, and they offered to take her and find her a home.
The shelter had already contacted us, and we were happy to help. Patches was a sweet and playful girl.
This was in 2019 and she was 10 years old.
She was a delight in her foster home and they decided to keep her.
Her foster mom was so happy to have her join the family. It was a perfect home.
Patches was adored.
Patches began not eating and she wasn't feeling well. They did everything they could, but an ultrasound showed that Patches probably had cancer. There was nothing that could be done and they weren't going to let her suffer. She was ready. She was held and loved as they said good-bye.
Run free, precious Patches. You were loved so much. 💜
