Trixie came into rescue in September last year.
She’s a small beautiful little girl.
Her foster Mom, Kim, adores her and she is loved by her family.
They were adopting her but we found out she had kidney issues early this year, so we kept her in rescue as a permanent foster. She stayed w her foster family. ❤️
Trixie has been losing weight, as her kidney values increase, so her mom is giving her what she will eat. She needs the weight. This is normal when a dog has kidney issues. As you can see, she loved her lunch. Yes, she’s getting three meals a day and she’s a member of the clean plate club.
Her mom and dad will be giving her sub q fluids every few days. She has heart issues, too, so it’s a balancing act of the right amount of fluids. Trixie is happy and is loved and cared for. We can’t fix getting old, but we sure love them. And that’s what we do.
