Muffie came into rescue this week. She was turned into a shelter by her owner. She was not cared for and she's had puppies. She began her medical care and will have a dental this coming Monday. A cancellation happened and they fit her in. I'm thankful!! Her labs were good except she has a bad bladder infection. She's being treated for that. She will probably lose all her teeth, but they have to be painful. Zoey can tell her that having no teeth isn't an issue-- she will feel so much better!
Ferby is being adopted!! YAY~ A new forever home for him.Ralo is being adopted, too. He's found the best home. He's now Bogie and Sugar's brother. :-)Oreo-- about 9 years old and a sweet boy. He follows his foster mom all over the house. He has three legs but it doesn't slow him down. Nope, he's not a full Peke. But, he is precious.
Stella and Diamond -- they do like to cuddle.
Stella and Ray Ray -- both came in from a breeding place, and have the emotional effects of it, but they have come a long way.Stella-- Stella was used as a breeding dog. She had so many bladder stones that immediate surgery was done. The long term presence of the stones-- and having puppies over and over-- mean she needs to wear a diaper. We think she's about 10 and she is so sweet.Ray Ray -- He came from the same breeder, but he had more emotional trauma. He and Stella have no idea what a leash is, so they must have a fully fenced, safe yard. He has made a lot of progress and is a sweet boy. There's no aggression in him. Diamond came to us after her owner died. Her eyes were so dry, that no treatment could help. Both eyes were removed (she had no vision) and she has no trouble following you around. Her skin is so much better and hair has come back on her body. She is 13 and so grateful for all the care and love she is receiving. She would love a forever home. Sandy is new to rescue-- she came from a hoarding situation. She will use a piddle pad and also go outside. She's very sweet.Suggy was a Shih Tzu in the same hoarding situation. We said "bring her into rescue, too." Her sore on her face is much better and she is housetrained. They both see the vet again this coming week.
We love helping these little ones who have no hope without rescue.
