Essie, one of our Richmond foster moms, sent me this video. It has Jimmy Stewart in it and if you are of the age where you remember what a wonderful actor and man he was, you'll certainly enjoy this video of Jimmy talking about his dog named Beau: Click here: YouTube - Johnny Carson - Jimmy Stewart - Beau Poem
This is Carmen. She is not even a year old, but was turned into the shelter by her owner because she snapped at her 17 year old neighbor. What was the neighbor doing to her???
I was emailed to see if I would come get her. She was a little nervous.
We went to the store to get her a new collar, harness, and leash. She wasn't too sure. In fact, she looks terrified!
It took her less than a day in her foster home to relax. She just needed to know she was safe.
She loves her new toys. And in Richmond, the snowman fits because they've had SO much snow!
Carmen was adopted quickly-- we knew she would be. All she needed was love and a safe place to be.

It's a good thing I didn't see her first :-) I'm very happy for Carmen and her new family.
Thank-you for writing more about your dog-show days, Melinda! I had no idea!!
My goodness, you're still getting snow in the East, Linda?
