Mitzi

This isn't a Peke-- but I was called and asked to help this "Peke Mix." I went to look at it, took pictures and sent out an email for help. You see, Mitzi's owner is in hospice care. Her sons were not able to take care of her, so they were going to put her down. But, even though she is 13, she is still happy and wags her tail all the time. The vet asked me to help.
A friend of mine, and Peke lover, wanted to help. She said she'd keep her until a home was found, just to make sure she was safe. She's been there less than a week-- and she's HOME. Yes, she's going to stay right there. The other dogs-- all boys-- aren't sure what to make of this 35-40 pound dog who is a female and just a happy girl. She totally ignores them, and isn't bothered by them a bit. They'll get used to her. I bet they'll even start to like her!

How sad that the family members can't care for her, but sounds like Mitzi's getting the better end of the deal after all! Thank-you for saving this sweetie, Linda!
