Gizzy came into rescue in 2012 and was returned to us later when the adopters could no longer care for him.
He went to Tim and Colleen for fostering and I came across these pictures from when he was pretty new to their home.
They had gathered up the toys and put them in a basket. Gizzy decided those toys would make a nice bed.
He became great friends with Doolin there.
They became so close that Gizzy's foster parents adopted Gizzy. He wasn't going anywhere.
He wasn't a young boy and he had a lot of allergies, and his new parents were making so much progress that their vet asked how they did it. That is success!!
Gizzy still loves his tennis balls. And even when they are older, they still like to take time to play.
Tim sent me this picture and told me, "Take time to hold them close." I think that's a great piece of advice! Don't you?

Yes that is such a good piece of advice..... I am holding Coco close right now :)
What a delightful picture of Dad holding Gizzy close and it's so true, hold them close every single day just as one does their family and beloved friends. Yet another beautiful story to begin the new week on Monday.
