CHECK THE CHIP

                                              

Today is "Check the Chip Day."   Zeke has a microchip he received while he was my foster dog.  

Mei Mei, Ren, and Jinjie all have microchips.   If you adopted a dog from us, they have a chip.  So, if you haven't changed the chip to your name, please check with us.   This picture will be in our 2025 calendar.  :-)

Gidget also has a chip.  So, why should you check to make sure it's still there?   Because chips can move.  And occasionally, one will migrate out.   At your yearly vet appointment (or sooner), they can check and make sure it's still there.   They can also see if it has moved.  Some have moved to the leg.  Weird but true.  

Henrietta Hope "Henni" is safe.   If she got lost, a vet or animal control could scan her chip and call her mom.  

Tuk Tuk was my foster-- briefly.  LOL  My daughter snatched him up.  💗  His chip is up to date.  But, if someone moves, and doesn't update their chip information, there's no way to get your dog back to me.   So many dogs are posted on dog sites when they've been found.  The shelter can find a microchip.  But, it's not updated.......   It doesn't have to happen.   Please have your dog's microchip checked, make sure you update your information.  It will really help.  

Emmi knows she will always be safe.  Her adopters love her so much.   They will make sure her chip is updated.   Is your dog's updated?   Please check.
