We think Tippy had Maltese in her-- whatever it was, it was a sweet mix!
Tippy was over ten when she came to us, so we thought she had many years to live. It wasn't t be.
She was fostered by Kim and her Peke, Clarence. Tippy began to have trouble a few days ago. She acted like she didn't feel well. Kim called me and I went to see her-- we planned to take her to the vet first thing Tuesday morning (since yesterday was a holiday). Tippy let us know she couldn't wait that long, so on Monday, we took her to the emergency vet.
Tippy was in advanced heart failure, her lungs were already filling with moisture. The vet said if we took her home, she wouldn't make it through the night. So, Kim held her and I petted her and she was surrounded with love as we let her go. Now she is free, breathing well, and happy. We miss you Tippy-- rest in peace, sweet sweet girl. Thank you, Kim, for all you did for her and for loving her so much.

What a sweet girl Tippy was.
Such a hard but kind thing to do.
I am so sorry for Tippy's loss:(
Heartbreaking but glad Tippy is once again pain free.
I am so sorry about Tippy. she at least did not have to suffer the indignity of being without someone to love her, to the end. Now she is pain free and that is what matters! Good job guys of giving another one a "dignified exit:)"!
