Elsa is brand new to our rescue. She was found with her collar, harness and leash on-- and she was in good shape. We have tried to find the owner, but at this point, no owner has claimed her. She is in a foster home in Virginia and getting over being frightened. She must have come from a good home. We think she is about 4 years old. Her foster mom did this write-up on her:
"Elsa is my newest foster dog for Potomac Valley Pekingese
Club. She is a young female with a beautiful coat of fur. She was found as a
stray and went unclaimed. She looks like she was well taken care of. Elsa is
currently not the best with strangers; she has what we Pekingese owners call a
Peke-atude. She is working on being more trusting and has improved so much in
just a week. She would be best in home with no kids. Once she is a little more
comfortable she will have her medical updated.
Elsa is starting to show interest in playing with toys and has started begging
for attention. She likes having someone sit with her. So far she is okay with
other dogs; she is interested in them but can be a little bossy. I haven't
checked how she is with cats yet. Once Elsa is comfortable and has her medical
updated, she will be available for adoption through PVPC. Check out all our
Pekingese that are available for adoption at www.potomacpekes.org"
