FAREWELL TUCKER

Tucker came into rescue in July of 2014.

I could tell he was not a full Peke-- but oh those eyes.    How could I say no.    When you are in rescue, we are asked so many times to help one "out of our breed."   We try to find another rescue to take them, but sometimes, a dog will just grab our heart and we say YES.  I could NOT get those eyes out of my mind and heart.  And he had an underbite, so he was part Peke!  :-)   I asked the rescue committee if we could help him and they said YES!  The shelter was getting full, and I didn't want him to be a casualty of that.

He was the sweetest boy when he went to his foster home.
And he was so happy-- he smiled!
He was so beautiful.
He loved his new mom and dad.  He received the love he had not had before he came to rescue.
They loved him back.  SO MUCH.
He brightened their lives.
And it was mutual-- Tucker was in love.
Tucker went on many adventures with them.
He was a snuggler.

He went on trips and had his own back pack to he could be part of everything.
He enjoyed every place he went-- because his mom and dad were by his side.
They went out west.
They saw beaches. They saw mountains.
Tucker was so loved-- he passed away recently, and his mom let us know.   He left a big hole in their lives.   What a life he had with them.  Run and play now, Tucker.  So many were there to greet you. 💙
