Dickson is a permanent foster due to his age and health.
Dickson is so sweet. He was abandoned by his family at a shelter but we were glad to take him into our rescue. He had ear and skin issues but special diet and meds helped.
He has friends in his foster home. Abigail is one. She is small, sweet, and just plain adorable.
Rascal is there, too. His owner died and we took him into rescue (along w Zoey who was in the same home). His foster mom adopted him. ❤️
Dickson had a bout of HGE. I’ve mentioned this before because my Chumley had it multiple times. There is no known reason for it to happen but it can be very critical or even fatal if not given medical intervention. The intestines begin “malfunctioning” and the body loses a lot of fluid Emergency care is important. Dickson stayed the night at the vet. He was on IV fluids and medication He stayed on a bland diet
He is doing well and was able to go home the next day. He was so excited to see Toni. He adores her! She has a gentle way with the dogs in her care and they love her. I’m so glad Dickson has recovered!
