DOLLA

Do you remember Desi, from a blog last month? I've done a few blogs on her. She was adopted from us by a wonderful vet in Roanoke and her husband. (If you need a vet in that area, just email us and we'll let you know her name.) Desi lives with Rook below:

Rook was found in a campground, and she was afraid of everyone and everything. But, when Desi's parents went up to Rook, she just rolled over for a tummy rub. Rook trusted them and wanted them to be her parents. She was heartworm positive and desperately needed a dental. She lost 18 teeth, but she is a healthy wonderful girl now. She is heartworm free and the perfect companion. She loves car rides and going to Starbucks with her dad. (I'd like to go to Starbucks, too-- I love that place!) Now, Rook and Desi have an additional canine friend in their home.

Meet Dolla. We have worked with a lot of shelters lately. A Virginia shelter contacted us because they had a little male who was huddled in the corner of the area he was in and he was shaking constantly. He was terrified there.

The vet and her husband agreed to go evaluate him for us. Roger spent time with Dolla and within five minutes, Dolla was jumping up at him and knew this was a person there to save him. I've seen this happen over and over at a shelter-- these abandoned dogs seem to know you are a safe person when you go to rescue them. I never tire of hearing about them!

Dolla may not be 100% Peke, but his foster parents say he is 100% adorable! Look at that smile!!

Dolla is probably about a year old, and he loves to play. He gets along with the other dogs in his foster home. He has already learned to play fetch, and is learning to sit. (Can I send my dogs there for some lessons?) He also seems to be housebroken. If you are interested in this special boy, just email us at potomacpekes@gmail.com
