Charley has been with Barbara and Ty since she was 18 months old.
Her mom said she could be "crusty" but a lot of Pekes have that. Most of us know some. It could have come from her early life, but once she joined their home, a wonderful life began.
Charley just turned 15.
She looked so sweet after a grooming session.
She has been sleeping a lot recently and that's not surprising with her age.
Her brothers, Kacey and Melrose were often nearby.
Her behavior began to change. Sleeping during the day, waking up at night. She began to bark at things that were not there and the signs pointed to Canine Cognitive Disorder. Sometimes, medicine can help a bit, but it cannot cure it.
Charley seemed confused and unsure. She did not always know her parents-- it was time.
Barbara held her in her arms as she said good-bye. Charley had a wonderful life-- she can run free now.

So sad to read this . What a wonderful life Charley has had with her family and boy .. she will be so missed.
